(This room will only be available from autumn 2023 onwards)
This room is located on the ground floor of the main building and corresponds to the oldest room of the manor house, which is estimated to date back to the 14th century.
The name, 'hideaway room,' is due to the fact that part of it functioned as a real hiding place until the 20th century, with the only access being through a trapdoor hidden in the upper floor.
There are family records of the use of the hiding place particularly during periods of war, namely during the crisis of dynastic succession in 1580 and, later, during the French Invasions.
Currently, this space is entirely renovated and adapted to its new use as a bedroom. With its four-century window facing the front of the house, the access to the old hiding place unveiled and framed by a remarkably trimmed original granite wall, the room also includes a queen bed and a comfortable sitting area.
Staying in the 'hideaway room' is an authentic experience of immersion in the history and tradition of this century-old manor house.
